thanks for the answers and for the prompt reply, but I have a few observations:
firstly, I didn't mean 'Splosion Man [which is underneath Lara Croft], but the red character ABOVE her and Ashley Williams from Mass Effect [and next to the Rocket Riot guys];
secondly, I didn't mean the hero from Daikatana, but the yellow-ish character between Bomberman and Bobbin from LOOM;
and lastly, I was unable to find any information about the 'Flaming Hamster' game.. or its name, for that matter.

The red character is the clown from Carnivale Showtime, an XBox Indie game. The little yellow guy is from the Apple IIe version of Castle Wolfenstein (before it became an id FPS). The hamster game is called "The Flying Hamster Game" and you can get more detail: [link]
